Part of the story here is that when arriving to Seattle, I worked immediately as a self-employed gardener having over 30 clients in the first year. Because I lived for a while in Cambridge, MA, I learned to garden from Ruth Lepson the poet who had an extensive garden that I tended to. We charge currently between $45.00 - 65.00 per hour per person working. One thing I love is that I have other musicians and artists with a predilection to tending to plants, loving the earth and a sensitivity to beauty but also having this create community and extra work that helps everyone!
